The Warrants module tracks the list of all outstanding warrants. Automatic warrant checking is fully supported by the Golden Eagle System. Warrants are checked automatically when:

1. An inmate is booked into the system. If the person has one or more outstanding warrants, a screen will appear. The operator can then have a choice of either a) adding a charge for the warrant, b) adding a hold or detainer for the warrant, or c) adding both a charge and a hold.
2. An inmate visitor is entered into the system. An automatic check for outstanding warrants is done.
3. A new warrant is entered into the system. If the person is already incarcerated, the system will notify the warrant entry clerk and will, optionally, add additional charges to the current booking record.
